Roger Doyle - 'Chalant - Memento Mori' album:
The latest album by the godfather of Irish electronica is surely the artist's finest moment. Roger dusts down his old answer machine messages from his parents, son and close friends and skillfully blends these with his trademark piano & string arrangements. More info here
Karol Gwózdz - 'Tamte Czasy' album:
This debut album from the Silesian based musician delivers a collection of deeply atmospheric ambient / piano works. Using the hiss from old cassette tapes he has successfully created a truly beautiful and haunting late night soundtrack that manages to capture a nostalgic feeling that both hints of past memories and loss. Waves On Canvas - 'Angel' Ltd 7" Clear Vinyl:
Waves On Canvas is the brainchild of Italian composer & producer Stefano Guzzetti. ' Angel', the debut single from the forthcoming album, features the vocal talents of Louise Rutkowski (This Mortal Coil) who delivers a beautiful haunting vocal that compliments Guzzetti's orchestral backdrop. Cuttooth - 'Elements' album:
Cuttooth's debut album manages to perfectly join the dots between downtempo beats and dubstep which can be enjoyed equally in a club or in the stoned privacy of your living room. In Cuttooth's own words: "...pushing what I perceived that hip-hop beats could do, experimenting with some really loose rhythms and trying to f**k with people's perception of time and groove a little bit."
