Kurtz and DJ Paloma Frausun create their Dark Ambient/ Gothic/ Industrial music and compose experimental videos that utilize religious, historical, horror themes and social issues both on stage and online. They draw inspiration from bands such as Dead Can Dance, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Death in June and film directors Leni Riefenstahl, Fritz Lang, David Lynch, as well as the literary works of Rumi, Nietzsche, and William S. Burroughs. Unconventional tones are utilized, including screams from a mad house, Latin invocations, classical strings, and ambient chants, with hard beats and noise assault.
“My inspiration is as varied as the elements in our music. A pounding Industrial beat will be mixed with a Call to Prayer and sitars. A blend of the organic and electronic.” When the duo take stage, they bring not only their music, with live experimentation and effects, but unique guests: BDSM performers, burlesque dancers, painters, poets, torture and shock talents to make every show a totally unique experience. Each show also includes Kurtz Frausun enduring a blood-letting ritual, performed by Paloma.
“Our shows become Total Environments: Billowing incense, hypnotic videos, subliminal audio/video messages, etc. The audience is either entranced or repulsed. Either way, I consider the show a success. A number of venues in D/FW have refused to book us because we scare the crowd too much.” Kurtz Frausun.

Willem Gator aka Giuseppe Musmeci is a self-taught composer, guitarist and electronic music programmer. City Of Sadness is the artist’s third album under his Willem Gator alias. The artist’s rich background in electronic production allows him to create highly distinctive grooves crafted by his very personal views on sound and beat research. What comes out of these recordings is a unique blend of acid house kicks, downtempo beats with junglesque phat basslines, oriental moods and overlapped with a multitude of orchestral instruments. In his own words the artist says “City of sadness is a photography of a time, of the people I met and the emotion they gave to me”
Willem Gator has performed in hundreds of concerts and has completed four tours throughout Europe, sharing the stage with musicians from all over the world. PSY054 krill.minima (Marsen Jules) - Sekundenschlaf
Release Date : Out Now
Format: CD Card Wallet
Limitation : 500
Barcode: 8717578691869
Art and Design: Waves on Canvas
Sekundenschlaf is the artists fourth album and even if his music sounds personal and fresh his influences reach far back to the sound-imaginations and concepts of timeless composers like Brian Eno, Erik Satie, Steve Reich, Stockhausen, Pierre Henry and modern sound innovators like Sonic Youth, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Alva Noto and Rhythm&Sound.
“Everything I hear is available material” is a quote by Music-Concrete creator Pierre Henry which is very close to Martin’s procedure of making his ambient music. Most of his rhythm sounds are based on ordinary and non ordinary noises which he recorded in his living room.
Even if this sounds like an experimental way of making music Martin has a quite different approach of creating his atmospheric tracks. “Mostly when I start producing a new track or project I have a clear sound picture, emotion and atmosphere in mind which I want to make audible. Then I start collecting the sounds, chords and fragments which I think could work to create a comparable acoustic surrounding.”

PRESS RELEASE
Mr Bird and Vital Force presents Mr Bird “Bird Bird Bird”
This is the forthcoming album by producer Steve Bird AKA Mr Bird on the new Vital Force label. It is the 3rd Mr Bird long player, following on from his two previous albums ‘Eats Worms’ and ‘Know your Rodents.’
Steve Bird AKA Mr Bird is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, but spread his wings and moved to sunny Lisbon in Portugal 3 and a half years ago. This album is the product of the new beats, sounds and ideas Steve has been listening to and working on since the big move.
Although recently Mr Bird has been known more for his funky breaks, re-edits and mash-ups, he is always quietly working away on his own original material alongside, and is very proud to offer up this new melting pot of birdaliscious beats.
Recently, Mr Bird has been co-running two record labels (Master Press Recordings and Heavy Duty Booty) and has started a third (Fat Bird Sounds) in the summer of 2012. Mr Bird also has an album coming out early next year on BBE Records with UK singer Greg Blackman, and is also working on several other collaborations with other singers, musicians and producers in Lisbon, and writing original music for TV, documentaries, dance and theatre and DJ’ing in bars and clubs in and around Lisbon.
Mr B has recently released original music and remixes for Resense Records,Sup Peeps, WASS Records, Mustbeat, Carnibal Records, Booty Fruit, Fat Bird Sounds, Riddim Fruit, Lisboa Records, Boka Records, Spring Strut Records and Master Press Recordings.
“Mr Bird makes music that makes the world feel like a better place, to me its
mood changing music, it’s the best of the old school tightly wrapped but
loosely tied into a glorious 21st century package.” Johnno Casson

NIP 006 Andrew Danso - Find
Format: CDR limited to 300 copies worldwide
A former BSc Music Technology student, who used to Shred on his guitar, and now dabbles in experimenting with electronic music, Andrew Danso’s new album “Find” perfectly blends the sounds of Post-Rock with choice vocals. Andrew and his band have been compared to legendary post-rockers Tortoise. In his own words he says : Find in particular was a big journey for me, and I was very lucky to collaborate with musicians who I’ve been great friends with for the past few years. It took two years worth of recordings for me to condense everything into an album that reflected a solid concept.
“Danso’s arrangements strike the right balance between progressive sound and atmosphere” – Real Gone Rocks webzine
“f i n d leaves the door open for more promising work from Andrew Danso in the future. The variety of electronic, organic and ambient sounds fleshed out with Danso’s guitar work keeps things interesting throughout, which can be a difficult balance to achieve with this type of music. Intriguing” – Now It’s On webzine
“I had to listen to this album a lot more times than usual, just because I found myself drifting off and relaxing no matter how hard I tried to pay attention to it. I knew that I liked it, but I had no specifics, and I can’t just post a review that says “yeah, it was pretty awesome. More details? Nope!” – Tyson Nordgren, Progulator.com
“Sixth track, Radial Day, even reminds of Talk Talk’s apocalyptically beautiful ‘Laughing Stock’, with its rangy, landscaped feel. That’s an exceedingly rare quality” – Ciaran Tracey, MetalIreland.com

Cult underground music show An Taobh Tuathail releases 3 CD Boxset collection of music
“An Taobh Tuathail …; defined by individuality, idiosyncrasy and a determination to walk its own path. May it live for a hundred years.” Irish Independent
Cian Ó Cíobhain, presenter of cult underground music show An Taobh Tuathail (The Other Side) on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, has in the past compiled three compilations of music from his radio show for the Psychonavigation label. On August 27th, the three CDs will be re-released as a collection on the same label.
Ó Cíobhain, described by The Quietus, UK as ‘the Irish John Peel’, has been broadcasting underground, leftfield music from around the world on An Taobh Tuathail (ATT) since 1999 and, much like the show, the music on the collection is programmed towards late-night listening, with most of the tracks veering towards a hushed and contemplative tone. Among the more established artists, the collection features music by Animal Collective, Mount Kimbie, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti and The Caretaker. The radio show has long supported Irish acts and the collection features homegrown tracks from the ilk of Cane 141/B-Movie Lightning, Chequerboard and Loner Deluxe.
An Taobh Tuathail is broadcast on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (92-94 fm), Ireland Mon-Fri 21.00-23.00, and live online. See www.rte.ie/rnag/antaobhtuathail.html
